Blue or Purple Hornets Zoanthid Coral Requirements |
June 22nd, 2010 01:53:59 pm |
Just to follow up, the Blue/ Purple Hornets requirements are not the same as regular Zoanthids. They are very similar in the needs to that of the Pink Palys, they desire if not prefer higher light, stronger water flow and cleaner water. Many people have been having problems with these that have been imported in the past. The big mistake seems to have been in regards to the amount of light and flow that they were or really were not receiving. These are much better than the Japanese Zoa's that we received and melted on all of us. Needless to say we WILL NOT be purchasing anything from that supplier again!!!! As to the Blue/ Purple Hornets from Africa so far we are very pleased, all photography does make them appear much more vibrant blue than they really are. They are very beautiful blues and purples, but lean more to the purple hue. No amount of flash exposure really gives the true coloration. They may actually look this Blue under 10K lights but they are all kept under 20K lighting in our system, and the flash adds more of the yellow/white spectrum. We will be posting several pieces for sale this coming week right after we take new photo's. Ultimately I want you to be happy with the corals that you purchase from us. |
