Wow, it has taken quite a bit more time than we expected, but you can't you can't rush perfection or a reef tank. We have been accumulating a vast amount of corals a lot of them are from Australia. We were lucky enough to find a few great importers of fantastically colored Acanthastrea’s, Montipora’s, Blastomossa’s, Symphyllia’s, Lobophyllia’s and more all from the Land down Under. There are also some great corals from many other countries here as well, but none really rival the Aussie corals, with the exception of the Zoanthids.
We started this company as hobbyists that were disappointed with the LFS selections (with the exception of maybe the fish). Normally we would come across 2 – 3 really nice corals a year. Many of which went directly into the stores display tank and if prices were available they were expensive for tiny pieces of the original. We have been trying to bring in larger corals rather than little frag’s. Don’t get me wrong we have plenty of frag’s, that come in or a result of growth, accidents and more. You will find a great assortment of colors and species. By far my favorite at the moment is the Australian Acanthastrea’s. They have some of the most amazing colors and combinations that I have ever seen. I still love great Acropora’s and we have a lot of them as well. Some that we are growing out, some that are getting healthy. We want the healthiest specimens; we feed our corals several times a week, especially the LPS. We have gotten just about every LPS that is in our systems to open up and say AHHHH! Happy corals = Healthy corals. Cuts heal faster, they grow faster and some even change to more dramatic colors. We do this for many reasons, the main one WE CARE. We want you to be happy with the corals that you purchase from us. That they thrive in your system as they have in our and that they continue to grow for you as they have been for us. (I have had to break many off of the egg crate in our system due to phenomenal growth) I hope you enjoy what we have to show and sell and if there is something that we currently don’t have we do take requests.
We have many more corals to load onto the website; I just needed the break from the camera. I spend a lot of time taking pictures with subtle changes to the flash level so that you can see exactly what the coral looks like to me as I am viewing it from the surface. NO PHOTO SHOPPING AT ALL! It is not worth it and it actually takes too much damn time. I have found that with minor adjustments on the flash level I can get pictures that are what the coral really looks like or are extremely close to the actual coral. |
