LPS Corals

LPS Corals - Large Polyp Stony Corals

Australian Meteor Shower Favities Coral
An Australian variation of Steve Tryee's War Coral, It has rich bright Red's with Emerald Green Eyes, and splashes of light Yellow and Greens. This is very unique piece as it has formed almost as a complete tube. A large piece of favities that has grown quite well in our systems.

Bright Red Goniopora Coral with Blue Mouths
Brilliant Bright Red Gonipora Coral with Blue Mouths. This is a very well established coral. It has been our system for over 6 months now. I never noticed the Blue mouths until recently. It has grown and healed well in our refugium. Now there are a few pieces in our main system. I have never had much faith or luck with gonioporas in the past. This came to us from an established system and had been damaged by another coral. Now it has matured well into a brilliant specimen.

Bright Red on Green Echinophyllia Coral
Bright Red on Green Echinophyllia Coral. This is a nice sized Intense Ruby Red on a deep Emerald Green skin. This Echino or Chalice is roughly 2 inches long and 1 to 1.5 inches wide. It came in rather plain but after a few weeks it has begun to GLOW. That is not a joke, it really does radiate an incredibly intense red color magnified by its base color of green.

Dual Chalice WaterMelon & Four Color Watermelon
Dual Chalice Watermelon & Four Color Watermelon. This is a real oddity, two chalices growing up against each other. One is a Bright Red watermelon the other is a 4-5 color watermelon depending on thee intensity of lighting that it is under.

Five Color Watermelon Chalice Coral
Five Color Watermelon Chalice Coral. This Coral does well under both medium and high lighting. More intense light brings out more color.

Frog Spawn Euphyllia coral Metallic Green with Purple Tips
Frog Spawn Euphyllia coral Metallic Green with Purple Tips. We have a number of these colonies growing in one of our systems and there colors are some of the most spectacular. Deep rich emerald green bodies that cullminate in a deep purple tip. If closer to the lights the color will shift to a lighter green with pink tips. This is a very happy coral, it has grown and grown and grown in our systems and had to be divided as it was larger than a basket ball in or 90 gallon tank and we had difficulty with adequate water flow due to its size. So now since moving the 90 gallon system and ultimately the coral we have MANY smaller colonies of this coral. This is just one! Well there are actually several heads in here but I am not counting.

Frogspawn Eupyhillia Coral Green with Purple Tips
Frogspawn Eupyhillia Coral Green with Purple Tips. This is a very nice piece of coral that is approximately 3x3 inches. The tips of the frogspawn are a nice Purple while the body of the coral is a that intense metallic neon green that can be seen on a few other corals. It is not that often that we come across this color combo. Usually you will get either the tip color, or the body color, but not these two together. We have a number of these colonies growing in one of our systems and there colors are some of the most spectacular. Deep rich emerald green bodies that cullminate in a deep purple tip. If closer to the lights the color will shift to a lighter green with pink tips. (Which this colony happen to be a little closer to the lights) This is a very happy coral, it has grown and grown and grown in our systems and had to be divided as it was larger than a basket ball in or 90 gallon tank and we had difficulty with adequate water flow due to its size. So now since moving the 90 gallon system and ultimately the coral we have MANY smaller colonies of this coral. This is just one! Well there are actually several heads in here but I am not counting.

Green & Purple Fungia Coral
Here we have a very long tentacled Green & Purple fungia coral. This is a very nice fungia coral, long tentacles with beautiful coloration. He likes to eat!!!!

Hot Pink Chalice Coral
Hot Pink Chalice Coral, this one is super bright! Large piece here roughly 1.5 x 1.5 inches.

Metallic Green Centered Brain Coral
This is a very Bright Metallic Green centered Symphillia Brain Coral. A very pretty piece by itself with a center that really draws your eyes to itself when you look at the tank.

Metallic Orange Plate Coral
Metallic Orange Plate Coral. Bright true orange that  literally outshines all the other metallic orange plates.

Neon Green Candy Cane Coral (Caulastrea furcata)
Neon Green Candy Cane Coral (Caulastrea furcata). Absolutely Vibrant Green. These are some of the toxic neon green colored candy canes that seem to be so hard to come by. Very hardy coral that will glow in your tank. The last picture is under actinic only but best represents its true color and vibrance that the camera can't manage to show under 20K lighting.

Neon Green Rimmed Plate Coral
Neon Green Rimmed Plate Coral, Vibrant green rim on this beautiful fungia.

Neon Orange Plate Coral
Neon Orange Plate Coral, Brightly colored fungia, these are the metallic glowing plates.

Orange Mouth and Rimmed Blue Plate Coral
Orange Mouth and Rimmed Blue Plate Coral. The pictures actually suck at showing this guy off. Here is a sweet plate that has Blue stripped through the body and intense Metallic Orange Mouth and Rim. This is just a sweet coral.

Stunner / Sweet Pea Chalice Coral
Hollywood Stunner / Sweet Pea Chalice Coral. This is a very large piece as you can see from the photo. Bright green eyes, or mouths and a yellowish / tan skin. It forms a thin skeleton, plate.
