LPS Corals - Large Polyp Stony Corals

Australian Meteor Shower Coral
This is an Australian variation of Steve Tryee's War Coral, It has rich Red's with Green Eyes, and splashs of light Browns and Yellow/ Greens

Australian Platygyra Coral Pink & Green
Australian Platygyra Coral Pink & Green Coral. There are subtle hues of Blue with in the Pinks that make up the maze within the Platygyra coral.

Bright Red & Green Open Brain Coral
A really nice Bright Red with Metallic Green Centered Open Brain Coral. When feeder tentacles are out there are bright Yellowish / Orange highlights at the base of the tentacles. I haven't seen this before in any of the other Brain corals that we have, or have had in the past. Roughly 5.5 inches x 3.5 inches

Bright Red on Green Echinophyllia Coral
Bright Red on Green Echinophyllia Coral. This is a nice sized Intense Ruby Red on a deep Emerald Green skin. This Echino or Chalice is roughly 2 inches long and 1 to 1.5 inches wide. It came in rather plain but after a few weeks it has begun to GLOW. That is not a joke, it really does radiate an incredibly intense red color magnified by its base color of green.

Crazy Eyed Acanthastrea Coral
Another Crazy Eyed Acan Frag. This Acanthastrea coral has intense multi-colorations. Brilliant Reds, Metallic Oranges

Fathead Emerald Green with Purple Halo Acanthastrea Coral
Rich Emerald Green Acan coral. This Acanthastrea coral, has a great intensity, a brilliant Emerald Green with a vibrant Purple Halo. This is one of those few Acanthastreas that has the really fatheads to them. The colors make this a real show piece.

Frog Spawn Euphyllia coral Metallic Green with Purple Tips
Frog Spawn Euphyllia coral Metallic Green with Purple Tips. We have a number of these colonies growing in one of our systems and there colors are some of the most spectacular. Deep rich emerald green bodies that cullminate in a deep purple tip. If closer to the lights the color will shift to a lighter green with pink tips. This is a very happy coral, it has grown and grown and grown in our systems and had to be divided as it was larger than a basket ball in or 90 gallon tank and we had difficulty with adequate water flow due to its size. So now since moving the 90 gallon system and ultimately the coral we have MANY smaller colonies of this coral. This is just one! Well there are actually several heads in here but I am not counting.

Frogspawn Eupyhillia Coral Green with Purple Tips
Frogspawn Eupyhillia Coral Green with Purple Tips. This is a very nice piece of coral that is approximately 3x3 inches. The tips of the frogspawn are a nice Purple while the body of the coral is a that intense metallic neon green that can be seen on a few other corals. It is not that often that we come across this color combo. Usually you will get either the tip color, or the body color, but not these two together. We have a number of these colonies growing in one of our systems and there colors are some of the most spectacular. Deep rich emerald green bodies that cullminate in a deep purple tip. If closer to the lights the color will shift to a lighter green with pink tips. (Which this colony happen to be a little closer to the lights) This is a very happy coral, it has grown and grown and grown in our systems and had to be divided as it was larger than a basket ball in or 90 gallon tank and we had difficulty with adequate water flow due to its size. So now since moving the 90 gallon system and ultimately the coral we have MANY smaller colonies of this coral. This is just one! Well there are actually several heads in here but I am not counting.

Grapes of Wrath Favites pentagona coral
Grapes of Wrath Favites pentagona coral. This is a gorgeous colored Favites coral. Brilliant Greens with Bright Purples eyes. Roughly 3 x 3.5 inches.

Green & Brown Brain Coral with Orange Spots
Green & Brown Brain Coral with Orange Spots. As you can see from the first picture this brain coral is a rich Walnut Brown dotted with Orange & the centers are a VIBRANT Emerald Green.

Green & Purple Fungia Coral
Here we have a very long tentacled Green & Purple fungia coral. This is a very nice fungia coral, long tentacles with beautiful coloration. He likes to eat!!!!

Lobophyllia with Neon Green Highlights
This is a strange and very different looking brain coral, in the lobophyllia classification (Lobo for short). It has rich Walnut Browns but what is really different is the dotting of Neon Green all over the body of this coral, as you can see from the photos this one loves to eat! Approximately 5 inches around.

Metallic Green Centered Brain Coral
This is a very Bright Metallic Green centered Symphillia Brain Coral. A very pretty piece by itself with a center that really draws your eyes to itself when you look at the tank.

Meteor Shower Favities Coral
Meteor Shower Favities Coral, this is a very intensely colored meteor shower favities. Very brightly colored.

Red & Blue Acanthastrea Coral
This is a really unusual color variation. Red & Blue Acanthastrea Coral, the colors are real! This came in a very plain looking acan, but after several months of being forgotten about, this acan went from a plain reddish brown to a vibrant red with blue stripping and a blue starburst like center. It has become a real beauty.

Red & Blue Echinophyllia Coral
This is a really nice bright Red and teal Blue echinophyllia aka chalice coral. In some places the blue becomes a starry nighht like pattern over and through the red. It makes for a really nice combination.

Tiger Stripped Acanthastrea
Red Acanthastrea Stripped with with Purple. This Tiger Stripped Acanthastrea is very nice, richly colored. A brilliant Red Acanthastrea (Acan) that has amazing strips of Purple on each head. As a colony this all comes together giving us the feel of Tiger Stripping on this Acan,

XL Turquoise Blue Favia
XL Grade A Turquoise Blue Favia. This is a beautiful Extremely LARGE Coral. The mouths are varying shades of Turquoise Blue, with hints of Green. We have had this baby in our system for several months and have finally gotten around to trying to photograph it, the problem is that it is that big. Roughly 6" x 8" A very well established colony.
